Description
EVENING STAR MINIATURE LAMPS, LOT OF TWO, colorless, one example with an applied handle, each with waist embossed "EVENING STAR" and base embossed "E. R. & CO", brass collars. Fitted with a period Vapo-Cresolene string-wick burner, thumbwheel marked "V. C. CO.", and with five stars; and remaining example fitted with a period string-wick burner, non-original thumbwheel marked "P & A MFG CO ACORN.", each with an opaque white chimney-shade. Fourth quarter 19th century. 4 1/2" and 4 3/4" H to top of chimney-shades, 2 1/8" H and 2 1/4" H to top of collars, 1 1/2" D base.

Condition
Finger example's font with a flake adjacent to upper terminal, burner and chimney-shade undamaged. Remaining example undamaged and with an exterior broken bubble, burner thumbwheel soldered to shaft, chimney-shade with normal flakes/roughness.
