Watercolor on paper, title Wilderness Cemetery twice in graphite, both on reverse of watercolor and on additional backing. Additionally inscribed Misc. Series/ No. 64 and again signed on reverse; 10 x 4.75 in.
This specific and meticulous inscription points most definitively toward Godfrey Frankenstein, the eldest of an extraordinary family of inventors, mathematicians and artists that made up the five Frankenstein siblings who spent most of their time in Ohio.
