DIETZ "NO. 0. SQUARE LIFT" BRASS HOT BLAST TUBULAR LANTERN, polished, bail handle, cap marked "DIETZ NO 0. BRASS TUBULAR", underside of base marked "PATENTED / JULY 26.81. / MCH 13.83. / MCH 31.85. / MAY 24.87. / MAY 24.87. / MCH 13.88. / JUNE 19.88.", colorless globe embossed "DIETZ NO 0 TUBULAR / NEW YORK U.S.A." and reverse "XIV". Fitted with a period burner. Late 19th/early 20th century. 19" HOA, 7 1/4" W, 5 7/8" D base.
