Lot of Three Scrimshawed Whale Teeth. Comprising: 1) Large original whale tooth with decorative contemporary scrimshawed image of a 19th century sailing ship. Reverse left uninscribed. Size: 5 3/4-inches long. 2) Large original whale tooth with decorative contemporary scrimshawed image of a 19th century sailing ship. Reverse left uninscribed. Size: 6-inches. 3) Small original whale's tooth [broken]. Sides with original period inscription of circles on sides of tooth. Appears to be a found item which was exposed to weather for many years. Size: 3 1/4-inches long. Condiiton: Good. Showing age wear and patina.
