(14¾x20").Death Valley, Panamint Valley, Borax Flat, the Panamint Range, Argus Range, Furnace Creek Valley, etc. Among the settlements are Darwin, Kelley's Station, Orange Station, Cerro Gordo Landing, etc. The Caliente and Panamint Stage Road is shown, also the San Bernardino Freight Road, and other roads and tracks. Some of the most difficult country in the United States to cross, presenting formidable barriers to the early explorers and settlers. A topographical map from the U.S. Geographical Surveys West of the 100th Meridian conducted under the command of George M. Wheeler.
