Pair broad blade bayonets with leather scabbards, "US". The leather scabbards are in poor condition, the small loops with the "US" button have been broken of. The metal is in fair condition no deep rust, mostly superficial. These two unusual bayonets were found in a Victorian mansion in Nyack belonging to the Mann family, Mr Mann was a direct descendant from General Jonas Mann, General of the Vermont State Militia, General Mann was born in 1771, and died in 1831, General Mann's masonic apron is listed under lot # 176 in this catalog. Total length is 14.5", blade is 10" long, it's 3.5" at the widest point
