Miniature Portrait of a Young Man, Together with Empty frame and Custom Box

A hand-painted oval miniature portrait, measuring 2.5" x 3.5", No place, undated. A detailed portrait of a young man, likely from around the Regency period. The identity of the subject is unknown. Housed in a gold engraved oval frame. Together with an empty oval frame, measuring 2.25" x 3.25". Both are housed in a leather-bound box measuring 5.75" x 4.25", with a silver clasp. Patina and light wear to the frames. The box hinge and top are worn with some chipping. See photographs for further condition details.
