Rookwood Ombroso Vase, Carved, Hentschel, 6 1/8"
Rookwood Ombroso vase with lightly carved irises done by William Hentschel in 1913. Three flowers sprout from the bottom of the vase are reach an uneven horizon, also carved into the body. Marks include the Rookwood logo, the date, shape number 961 D and the incised monogram of the artist. Height 6 1/8 inches. Uncrazed with a rich, unctuous, red Ombroso glaze.
