35¼x20 inches, 89½x50¾ cm. S.M. Stanley Co., New York.
Condition B+: losses in bottom left and top right corners; repaired tears at edges, one slightly into upper image; minor abrasions at edges and in image.
Millard was known for his book illustrations, sheet music & theatrical covers, promotional silkscreen travel posters and brochures for Hamburg-American Cruise Lines, as well as advertising material for Paramount Pictures. A prolific designer, he created hundreds of posters for RCA Victor Records during the 1920s and 1930s. This pictorial map utilized Millard's talent for illustration art, featuring side panels of 26 vignettes of New York City history, as well as many figures and landmarks throughout.
