Lenzkirch, Germany, a large and rare freischwinger hanging clock in an oak case with fancy brass ornamentation, cast brass winged caryatids flanking the dial with several other cast brass faces and figures of North wind, Minerva and Diana, the case sides with large swirls of cast brass, fancy cast brass dial with white enamel roman numerals cartouches, 8 day, time and strike, series 26 square plate movement with count wheel striking and Graham style dead beat escapement with movable pallets, serial #477034
Condition
split in the bezel below 6 on dial, split in backboard behind pendulum, three upper finials replaced (poor color match); hands have been polished and then coated in a tinted lacquer; original pendulum.
