Important American Federal armchair, signed, c. 1820s, New Hampshire, signed J.H Bartlett in ink to inner seat frame, carved mahogany, the rectangular back topped with arched crest flanked by flower finials, the frame carved with repeat border, floral rosettes and twist baluster arm supports, on round tapered fluted legs, in the Louis XVI style, 37.5"h x 24.5"w x 21"d
