Description
Michael Jackson's "We Are The World" video worn crystal-covered socks, made by Bill Whitten. As is known, the video of We Are The World was filmed on the same day when the vocals of all the stars were recorded, except for the parts of Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder, which had been recorded earlier. More than 45 of America's top musicians participated in the video clip recording, which took place on January 28, 1985 at A&M Recording Studios in Hollywood. Michael Jackson had a unique set of clothes made exclusively for the occasion. He never wore his jacket or socks before or after the recording. He donated them both to charity, and he wanted to use the proceeds to fund goals supported by We Are The World. The auction never took place. Comes with Letter of provenance from the person wbo obtained the socks accompanied by a Knaisz Auctions Certificate of Authenticity. Estimate: $100,000-200,000
