Description
DESCRIPTION: Pennsylvania closed or Dutch cupboard. Probably made in south central Pennsylvania. Late 18th or early 19th centuries. Form consists of a base resting on bracket feet with double paneled doors and three drawers. A gallery shelf in the mid-section and then a double door, 24 light (12 on each side) top with bold crested molding. Pinned construction with rat tail hinges. The interior opening to reveal fitted shelves with spoon racks. Appears to be poplar. MEASUREMENTS: 64-1/4" wide x 19-1/4" deep x 85" high. CONDITION: Refinished. One pane of glass broken.
