Production of millefiori was limited due to its difficulty, as with so many techniques perfected by Carder. Designs included all over similar canes of different shades and bright geometric designs and emblems." Shown in a 1920's ad with the following description: "The exquisite Mille Fleurs Bowl is made precisely like priceless, historic Egyptian glass. It was Shown on the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York." In yet another ad of October 1927 in Country Life Magazine what may be the same bowl is shown with the subtitle: "The Metropolitan Museum in New York exhibited the rare millefiori bowl. So difficult of production is this 'thousand flower' glass that only two or three examples have been made in modern times"
