Tao Shaman's Robe, Dong People, Early to Mid 20th C. Mid-length, short sleeved, indigo-dyed with 7 suns motif, with overlapping diagonal front fold and side slits. Ribbon with supplementary weft inlay along sides at front and in rows at hem. Front and back sections with applied circles filled with embroidery. Cotton, silk thread; embroidery. Size: 29.5'' x 30'', (75 x 76 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
