Jean Escoula (1851-1911) French, Bronze Sculpture. Titled "Pastorale" woman and lamb. Titled on the left and signed on the right. Between 1884 and 1900, he executes some excellent works for Auguste Rodin, like �ve, �ternelle idole, Madame Alfred Roll (around 1887, with Louis Cornu), Madame Vicuna (in 1888, with Louis Cornu), Dana�de (around 1889), as well as the horses featured in the monument of Claude Gell�e (in 1892, with Victor Peter. He participates in the �Salon des artistes fran�ais� and in the �Salon de la Soci�t� nationale des beaux-arts�He was awarded the famous �m�daille d'or� (gold medal) at the �Exposition universelle de 1889� and at the important �Exposition Universelle de 1900�, which marked the highlight of the Art Nouveau movement in Europe, and Paris in particular (Guimard, Majorelle, Lalique, Mucha, Larche, Fouquet, etc).Size: 12 x 14 x 32 in.
