Model 100 circa 1909 serial No. 1000583. The Regina company which started by making music boxes, tried to change with the market which was replacing music boxes with phonographs. This coin operated machine played 6 four-minute cylinders and plays each record sequentially. Even though this machine’s mechanism has not been cosmetically restored, it accepts coins and plays beautifully. Comes with winding crank which is an older reproduction. The oak cabinet is in two parts, the base which is original and has the decal that is in excellent condition and an oak and glass newer top cover. There are 2 cracks in the wooden base that could be repaired. These machines would be placed in almost any business in which the public would gather such as hotels, saloons, pugs, where people would like to listen to music. According to the original Regina company records, this machine SN 1000583 was shipped to its new owner January 8, 1909. They fell out of style soon after their release making them very rare.
