Please refer to the current images and text.(Disney, 1964) A collection of (6) double-sided expense report pages (all but 2-pages have content on the front and back) submitted by a member of the Mary Poppins production team for expenditures related to preparations for the film's world premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theater on Thursday, August 27, 1964. The original typed carbon pages are all signed by employee Ben Harris and co-signed by a department head. Dated between "4/2" and "8/27," 1964, the charges chronicled include surveys of the theater site, Mickey Mouse Club related meetings, and repeated trips to Grauman's and surrounding restaurants to plan the event. Perhaps the most interesting charge is dated 8/27 and totals $8.21 for "Refreshment for Walt Disney." One wonders what Walt ordered that day from Del's Coffee Shop to fortify himself for the dog and pony show of a major Hollywood premiere. Measuring 8.5"x11," the reports are in very good condition with some breached staple holes, light edge toning, and edge wear.
