Louis Novak was a Hungarian-American artist, or Czech-American as some refer to him. The region his family was from became part of Czechoslovakia after World War I. His family immigrated to the United States when he was a young child, where they settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts after living briefly in New York City. He taught at Wentworth Institute for many years. The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston has a nice collection of his work.

Condition: Very good condition, no tears or stains. Remains of old paper hinges in the upper margin.
