SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA OCEAN WAVES PATTERN PIECED QUILT, red accents, comprising 42 blocks with an elongated wreath hand quilting in the unpieced centers, red and white sawtooth border, with an embroidered "E" in one corner, various straight-line quilting, markings remain visible. Second half 19th century. 74" x 83".
Provenance: Bill and Helen Holt collection, Elkton, VA.
