(DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE). 1874-Copyright Dated, Broadside headed, "1776-1876 Centennial Memorial" of The Declaration of Independence, by James D. McBride, Philadelphia, Choice Very Fine.
1876 Broadside "Centennial Memorial" Advertisement Edition, Printed Commemorative Broadside, large folio, measuring 14.75" x 19.25" being an engraved depiction of The Declaration of Independence, including the signatures. It is boldly titled: "1776-1876 Centennial Memorial. In Congress, July 4, 1776. The Unanimous Declaration of the Thirteen United States of America." Small print at bottom left reads, "Copyrighted in 1874 by James D. McBride, Philadelphia and printed by the Columbian Publishing Company, N. Y. Paullin." An advertisement block at the lower right is printed in Red ink reads, "Presented to Patrons of Times and Gazette, with Centennial Number, July 15th, 1876." This special Broadside is in overall excellent condition being boldly printed with typical folds making it a wonderful example for display.
