Description
A pair of Imperial Chinese red bat dishes, dating from the Guangxu period. The dishes feature a design of a central circle of 5 bats in iron red, with their heads facing towards the middle, surrounded by a ring of 12 bats, all facing in different directions, between two rows of double blue rings. Outside of dishes feature 8 bats beneath a double blue circle, each facing a different way. Six character Chinese blue stamp on the very slightly raised base.
