Description
A valance of dark blue wool, applied with 17th C style foliate strapwork bands in yellow, ochre and gray with scarlet detailing. With the matching bed cover woven with a central badge of the Prince of Wales reading "Honi soit qui mal y pense." Originally residing in Fort Belvedere, the Duke of Windsor’s private refuge as the Prince of Wales and the site of his abdication as King in 1936.
