Ink on paper, 16 x 22 3/4 in. (40.6 x 57.8 cm), framed.
Condition: Edges unevenly trimmed, toning, tack holes l.r., gentle rippling, scattered fox marks and stains, small areas of surface scuffing between some panels and near u.l. corner, adhesive residue near u.l. corner, creasing to logo, vertical tear measuring approximately 1/2 inch near center, floated in frame, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: Collection of J. Drennan Lowell, M.D., Winchester, Massachusetts; by family descent to the current private collection, Massachusetts.
N.B. Dr. Lowell, an orthopedic surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and Peter Bent Brigham Hospital (later called the Brigham and Women's Hospital) and an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School, received this comic strip as a gift from a patient.
