Three Production Cels from The Art of Skiing (1941): The First Essential is Correct Attire, The Wind-up of a Kick Turn, and The Up-Ski: A Pleasant Way to Relax
Each stamped "WDP" l.l. or l.r., and titled on printed labels on the mats.
Animation cels with probable Courvoisier setup backgrounds, sight sizes to 8 x 9 in. (20.3 x 22.9 cm), in matching frames.
Condition: All with mild toning, Up-Ski with apparent traces of adhesive in the background above the upper ski, Kick Turn with some waviness to the celluloid between the adhesion points and some slight losses to paint in Goofy's face, not examined out of frames.
N.B. The term "Courvoisier setup" is used to describe presentation backgrounds to complement Disney cels created by Courvoisier Galleries in San Francisco. Courvoisier was Disney's agent for the marketing of the studio's animation art in the 1930s and 1940s.

Condition: The mats have significant toning, Up-Ski mat also with foxing or mold.
Frame dimensions are 16 x 14 1/2 x 3/4 in.
Orientation is horizontal for Up-Ski and Kick Turn.
Orientation is vertical for Correct Attire.
No certificates accompany the lot.
The Up-Ski frame was opened for further examination. The work is on illustration board, stamped "COPYRIGHT WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS/ALL RIGHTS RESERVED" on the reverse. The reverse is also marked "#11" in red pencil and has a printed label specifying the recommended framing under glass. The illustration board is affixed to the window mat with brown paper tape around all four sides. Due to the fragile nature of the medium, we did not attempt to intervene any further to check for any markings on the front in addition to the "WDP" stamp mentioned above.
