A very fine country birch hired hands bed in original blue-green paint, probably New England - note the beautiful shaped and chamfered had board and the wear on the small cannon ball finials. Retains original side rails that would have held drop down "L" shaped brackets. The only fault being the missing covers that would have hid the side rail pins which are sold with the bed. Overall it is in very good original condition. Measures 79 1/4"L (bed put together) x 36 1/2"W x 32 1/2"H. The inside measurements are 32"W between side rails x 74"L between the headboard and footboard. Circa 1820-40.
