Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Qilin Porcelain Plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of Qilin seating cliff edge and enclosed with and imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
