A fascinating sketchbook from Edward H. Davis, a field collector for New York City's Museum of the American Indian which would later become part of the Smithsonian. Though known primarily as a collector Native American artifacts, he also studied drawing and drafting at the Brooklyn Art Guild.

Condition

Light shelf wear and rubbing to calf and boards; rear hinge cracked, several leaves loose, faint smudging; very good.
