Presumably issued simultaneously with the English language edition. The maps include: "The Route by Road & Navigation for Connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans", "Profile of Route by the Grand Portage and Pigeon River from Lake Superior to Rainy Lake", and "Plan Shewing the Region Explored by S. J. Dawson and his party between Fort William and the great Saskatchewan River".

Condition

Binding sunned, with some rubbing and scuffs; re-backed, leaves a little chipped at edges, stamp of Long Island Historical Society on title page, light foxing; some folding maps disbound, split at folds, else very good.
