This print titled “Team Formation” is a Sold Out, 1995 Limited Edition print by world renowned artist Michael Turner. Additionally… this is the ‘Special Edition’ of this print, which was personally signed by six(6) prominent McLaren Team personnel from the 1960s/70s that includes McLaren’s 1969 Can-Am winning season, which this print pays tribute to. In 1969 the McLaren Can-Am team won almost every race with their M8B ‘high wing’ cars featured in this artwork. This print is signed by: Dan Gurney (driver, race car constructor & team owner), Denis Hulme (driver 1967 F1 World Champion & Can-Am Champion driver), Tyler Alexander (team engineer & mechanic), Teddy Mayer (team Manager, Managing Director & team owner), Gordon Coppuck (McLaren M8 designer), and Phil Kerr (Managing Director of McLaren in the 1960s). It is also signed and numbered by the artist, Michael Turner. This McLaren artwork was the book cover art for “To Finish First” by Phil Kerr. ONLY the first 50 prints in the edition of 500 were personally signed by the team members. Less than 50 of these were available to collectors when the edition was first issued and the entire run sold out fast. The print being offered is the last one of the ‘Special Edition’ - number 50/500. This print has been owned since new by the consignor.
