This is a very rare original graphite/pencil drawing by famed race car driver, automotive expert, and artist - the late Bob Grossman. The image portrays the Lightweight Jaguar E-Type he drove to 9th place overall in the 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Though Bob made many drawings of automobiles over the years, only a portion of those depicted race scenes, and the many cars he drove during his racing career, hence this is a very rare piece. This signed original has been owned since new by the consignor, purchased from Bob Grossman in the 1990s. Dimensions: Paper measures 12” x 15.5”. Wood Frame measures 19.5” x 23.5”. Excellent condition. Bob Grossman was a well known and famous gentleman race car driver who before he became an automotive artist was an exotic car dealer and competed in the famous LeMans race six times. He actually sold more than one Ferrari GTO models.
