Antique Tied Comfort Quilt with Paisley Fabric

Description

Antique c1880s whole cloth tied quilt or comfort measuring 69 x 83 inches. Machine pieced lengths of large scale paisley print botehs against a vibrant red, same on both sides. Original width of fabric is about 24 inches. It is hand tied with white thread with small pieces of orange fabric underneath. Knife edge finish by machine. In very good condition with some fading. This quilt was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! We will provide extra pictures, or can schedule an in person or video conference preview at your convenience. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate.
