Carte 419. Stampato in rosso e nero, con le Iniziali manoscritte rubricate in rosso. Testo su due colonne, testo al centro e glosse tutt’intorno, carattere gotico, spazi bianchi per le Iniziali. Colophon in rosso al verso della carta 419 “Uenetijs impensa atque diligentia Thome de blauis de alexandria ..., 1489 die xv decembris”. Nei primi fogli di guardia indice manoscritto su 3 facciate, di mano coeva. Manca la carta finale con Registro e marca tipografica. Restauri con rinforzo di carta al verso del primo foglio, alcune correzioni dello stesso tipografo con apposizione di “cartolini” ai titoli del secondo e del terzo foglio. Qualche traccia d’uso, ma buon esemplare. Raro incunabolo. Opera fondativa del diritto canonico. Seconda edizione impressa a Venezia dal tipografo Tommaso de Blavi di Alessandria, attivo a Venezia tra il 1476 e il 1491. L’erudito e corposo commento è del canonista i Bernardo da Parma. La glossa alle Decretales Gregorii IX è l’opera maggiore di Bernardo da Parma, celebre canonista del XIII secolo, che si avvalse degli apparati, delle glosse, delle summae e di altri scritti sulle cinque compilationes antiquae che erano state prodotte a partire dall’epoca della loro promulgazione nel 1234. Il suo commento si affermò come l'apparato per eccellenza, la glossa ordinaria alle Decretali di Gregorio IX, il lavoro per cui B. fu definito, per antonomasia, "glossator", ovvero "Decretalium apparatus compilator”.B.M.C. Text on two columns, text in the center and glosses all around, Gothic font, white spaces for the Initials. Colophon in red on the reverse of card 419 "Uenetijs impensa atque diligentia Thome de blauis de alexandria ..., 1489 die xv decembris". In the first leaves manuscript index on 3 sides, contemporary hand. The final leaf with register and letterpress mark is missing. Restorations with paper reinforcement on the reverse of the first sheets, some with the affixing of stripes of paper to the titles of the second and third sheets. Some traces of use, but a good specimen.
Rare incunabulum. Founding work of canon law. Second edition printed in Venice by the typographer Tommaso de Blavi of Alessandria, active in Venice between 1476 and 1491. The erudite and full-bodied commentary is by the canonist Bernardo da Parma. The gloss to the Decretales Gregorii IX is the major work of Bernardo da Parma, a famous canonist of the thirteenth century, who made use of the apparatuses, glosses, summae and other writings on the five compilationes antiquae that had been produced from the time of their promulgation in 1234. His comment was established as the apparatus par excellence, the ordinary gloss to the Decretals of Gregory IX, the work for which B. was defined, par excellence, "glossator", or "Decretalium apparatus compilator".
