Northwest Canada Medal 1885 engraved named on rim "Pte. W. G. KERR, A Co MIDD. BATT". Kerr was entitled to "Saskatchewan" bar that this medal lacks. This medal was issued to the soldiers, volunteers, and North-West Mounted Police personnel who participated in putting down the North-West Canadian Rebellion in 1885. Approximately 5700 medals were issued with approximately 1760 being issued with Saskatchewan bar. Ribbon exhibits wear. Provenance: Stanley Bright collection.
