A large collection of voice-over scripts from the early 1950s, owned and used by Casey Kasem for his roles in radio programs such as The Lone Ranger, Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, Challenge of the Yukon, Bob Barclay, American Agent, and other various productions.

Kasem began his career as a voice-over actor while simultaneously studying at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Kasem was later quoted as saying, "I started radio in 1950 on The Lone Ranger radio program, a dramatic show that emanated from Detroit when I was 18 years old and just beginning college. I did that for a couple of years."

Accompanying the scripts is a recommendation letter, signed by Charles D. Livingstone, Production Director of Trendle-Campbell Enterprises, Inc. that reads: "April 25, 1952 - To Whom It May Concern: The bearer, Kemal Kasem, has given satisfactory service in our employment in the capacity of actor in our feature programs, including The Lone Ranger and Sergeant Preston of the Yukon. In addition to this, he has filled in when necessary, in our sound effects department. I heartily recommend him for radio work within the scope of his experience. Yours very truly, Charles D. Livingstone."
