Elvis Presley's Personally Owned and Worn Army Fatigue Shirt W/LOA From Patsy Presley - This fatigue Army shirt was personally owned and worn by Elvis Presley during his time serving in the United States Army. Elvis served from March 1958 to March 1960, and although he was given the chance to enlist in Special Services to entertain the troops and live in priority housing, Presley served as a regular soldier. This decision ultimately earned Elvis the respect of not only his fellow soldiers, but people back home who previously viewed him in a negative light due to his rock and roll music. After his training at Fort Hood, Elvis was assigned to a Battalion stationed in Friedberg, West Germany. He shipped out on September 22, 1958 and was stationed there until March 2, 1960.
