Elvis Presley's 1967 Western Shirt Worn at Circle G Ranch From the Mike Moon Collection W/COA - This blue western-style long sleeved shirt was purchased and worn by Elvis Presley while working and riding on his beloved Circle G Ranch. Elvis purchased the Circle G Ranch in the 1960s as a getaway that would still be near Graceland, and after he and Priscilla married, they even spent part of their honeymoon there. In April 1967 when filming for the film "Clambake" was paused, Elvis was able to spend three straight weeks on the ranch, and it has been argued that that Spring was one of the happiest times of his life. As with many of Elvis' fashions and jewelry, this shirt was passed along to co-best man and Memphis Mafia member Marty Lacker before it was acquired by collector Mike L. Moon. This shirt was exhibited for over 30 years at Mike Moon's Elvis and Hollywood Legends Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, which at the time held the largest privately owned Elvis Presley memorabilia collection. The lot will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Moon estate, along with a copy of Mike Moon's handwritten notes and a copy of the page from the original letter from Lacker regarding the items he acquired from Elvis.
