1976 Fender Telecaster Transitional period guitar. COLOR: Daphne Blue. POT CODES: 3047447 and 3047502. Jack Pickup- 7.02 OHM meter reading. Bridge Pickups: 5.85 OHM meter reading. SERIAL NUMBER(S): 7623869 and 597137. WEIGHT: 9lbs 7ozs (4kg/280g). This beautiful Fender Telecaster was made during Fenders transition moving the serial numbers from the neck plate to the headstock. As a result there are two numbers as listed above. Truly a rare transitional guitar. Everything on this guitar is original with the exception to the following; the body was refinished with a beautiful Daphne blue nitrocellulose finish. The finish as well as the pickguard are showing signs of aging and yellowing, which in my opinion, has a wonderful look. Additional holes were drilled on the back of the headstock for different tuners. The "F" original tuners are back on. Some additional wiring and soldering was in the control cavity. On the back of the headstock you can see two finish cracks. These are only finish crack and not cracks into the wood, mentioned for clarity. Overall this guitar is in very nice, playable condition. Included with the guitar is the original ashtray cover and black tolex case. Fender logo on case is partially missing, mentioned for clarity. Case measures approx. 40.25in x 14in x 4in overall.
