Two School of Tours Palissy Style Faience Trompe L'Oeil Shaped Oval Platters

The first impressed mark and signed for Leon Brard, modeled with a pike, a sole and an eel on seaweed; the second unmarked and attributed to Brard, modeled with four fish and an eel.

The first 16 in. wide, the second 10 in. wide.

Condition

Each in overall good condition with minor nicks to the rim. The first with some tiny nicks to the eels spine, one edge of a fish dorsal restored, the underside sprayed.Â
