The International Mercantile Marine Company, originally the International Navigation Company, was a trust formed in the early twentieth century as an attempt by J.P. Morgan to monopolize the shipping trade. Very interesting history. Otto S. Loeb was a high profile member of the NY Stock Exchange. Issued Feb 19, 1926, assigned and signed by Loeb on Feb 23, 1926, and cancelled by J.P. Morgan & Co 12/28/1927. Certificate in excellent condition. Measures 12" wide, 8" tall.
