1996 Gibson Jimmy Page Les Paul, First Run Guitar. SERIAL NUMBER: 92406480. FIRST RUN MODEL 1 of 500. COLOR: Honeyburst Nitrocellulose Finish. WOOD: Figured maple top, mahogany single bound. WEIGHT: 8lbs, 11.4ozs (3kg/950g) This is a really nice 1996 Gibson Jimmy Page Les Paul. This was a first run of between 400-500 signature Jimmy Page Les Pauls. How can we tell? In the first run Gibson used Grover "Kidney Bean" tuners and used a honeyburst nitrocellulose finish. Later models were changed where Gibson used Grover "Tulip" tuners and use a more "Heritage Red" or red nitrocellulose finish. This Jimmy Page Les Paul features push/pull controls for phasing, coil splitting, and series/parallel wiring using 496R and 500T humbucker pickups. This particular guitar is light weight and in great condition. The body has incredible checking, very little swirling on the body back. The pickup has a little bit of swirling, Jimmy Pages signature on the pickguard is well intact and sharp. There is a slight crack on the pickguard in the upper screw area, hard to tell unless your looking for it. Frets are in great shape with plenty of life in them. Overall a very nice Jimmy Page Les Paul that has been well taken care of. Included is the original plush green interior, black exterior case with green silk Jimmy Page signature cover. Prepack checklist with serial number, Jimmy Page tag, plastic volume/tone control sheet (underneath the pots) Gibson guitar pick. Would make an excellent addition to any collection, shop or home.
