Fender Masterbuilt Eddie Van Halen Doubleneck Guitar. MODEL: Masterbuilt Jaguar- Bass VI Doubleneck. SERIAL NUMBER: 0790. WEIGHT: 13lbs, 3ozs (5kg/980) WOOD: 1pc Ash body, highly flamed figure maple neck with rosewood fretboard. COLOR: 3 tone sunburst nitrocellulose finish. If there was two words to describe this guitar they would be ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. This is a Fender one off Jaguar-Bass VI Doubleneck guitar. This guitar was made for Eddie Van Halen by famous Fender masterbuilder Fred Stuart in 2001. This incredible work of art was made from 1960s actual specifications. Headstock decaling for both the Jaguar and Bass VI. The body is a 1pc ash body, finish with 3 tone Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer. There is one small scratch on the body located next to the BASS VI neck - Difficult to see, unnoticeable unless you are directly looking for it (shown in photos). Both necks have been made with beautiful crazy flame figured maple wood with incredible rosewood fret boards and clay clots. Neck finish was done with nitrocellulose lacquer. Freds Masterbuilt decal and serial number 0790 is located on the back headstock. Both necks are round laminated as in the period between 1963-1966. Both necks have a 7.25 radius. As stated in a letter of province from virtual vintage guitars and signed by Fred Stuart, Fred has been commissioned by Fender dealer to build this Doubleneck in the year 2000. During the course of the build, Fred was informed that the build was intended for Eddie Van Halen. After completing the guitar, it was sent to Eddie to see and play. For various reasons (possibly an existing endorsement) Eddie did not take possession of the guitar and it was returned to the Fender Custom Shop, where it was purchased by Virtual Vintage Guitars in California as well as the letter of province. This Doubleneck baby comes with original case and keys in great shape, an additional slotted bridge for either the Jaguar of Bass VI, two tremolo arms. Also included are 3 certificates of authenticity signed by Fred Stuart. On the backside of 1 COA are Freds notes about the Doubleneck. Also a photo of Fred holding the Doubleneck.
