Description
Circa 1815, likely Virginia or North Carolina. The piece having a hinged top opening to interior fitted for bottles and storage at one side and the other. The dividers are made of poplar. The case is nicely dovetailed at leads down to lowercase housing a single drawer with bale pull and hard yellow pine secondary wood all resting on four handsome tall tapered legs. The piece has a brass label at top center chased and reading Edward Randolph Wood from his Mother May 23 1818. H35" W27" D18" Sold from the collection of Mary Wooten DuPont, Camden, South Carolina.
