Description
European, early 20th century, palatial well carved oak breakfront bookcase in the Renaissance taste, having a shaped cornice, with dentil moulding, applied gilt bronze putti and figural plaque, the scrolled frieze with "Anno" "1623", composite order column supports, triple glazed doors, and rising on a plinth base. Apparently unmarked. Approx. h. 98.75", w. 109", d. 25".
Condition
No apparent breaks to glass with some replaced, doors open easily, right section with crack to lower left panel, scattered chips to capitals, shim between cornice and center left capital, stable dryness cracks, key is present, case is structurally sound.
