Robert Gould Shaw at the moment he is struck by a Confederate bullet, his black soldiers of the 54th Massachusetts Vols. about to take the ramparts at Fort Wagner on July 18, 1863. Reinforcements appear behind Shaw as ironclads fire at the fort's defenses. Fine condition, in a very slightly dinged and scratched wood frame.
