Description
Roman Mid-3rd to early 4th cent. A.D..Pale olive and light green glass. H. 12.9 cmSpherical body with long neck. A handle with three ribs leads from the rim to the shoulder. Arched base with smoothed pontil mark. A counterclockwise spiral of thin trailing adorns the jug’s body. Intact.Formerly Swiss Private Collection prior to 1972. Thereafter with Christie's New York, October 2018, lot 84.
