Description
Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Carchi-Narino, Capuli Complex, ca. 850 to 1500 CE. Ceremonial chalice elegantly modeled from terracotta with a flared, concave foot and a generous bowl. Both the bowl and foot are elaborately decorated with black-on-red geometric motifs created via the negative resist technique. Size: 5.25" W x 3.75" H (13.3 cm x 9.5 cm)
