Description
modelled after Peter Reinicke and J.J. Kaendler and based on Italian Commedia dell'Arte from the Duke of Weissenfels Series, comprising:
a) A Meissen Porcelain Figure of 'Narcisino Malabergo', on a hard-paste mound moulded base, posing in contrapposto with his arm extended, with long hair and a moustache, wearing a maroon tunic and matching pantaloons, with gilt-edged detailing with a black and gilt-edged wide-brimmed hat, draped over his shoulders a black and yellow puce cape, marked with factory mark in blue, incised model number 576, impressed numeral 145, carved square with effaced numerals in red, all under unglazed base; height: 14.5 cm (5 3/4 in.)
b) A Meissen-Style Porcelain Figure of 'Dottore Boloardo', on a mound moulded base with applied flowers, standing in contrapposto with his one arm and leg extended, with a dark moustache, wearing a pale yellow and floral tunic, turquoise pants, white stockings, black shoes, black hat and white long cloak, apparently unmarked,; height: 15 cm (5 7/8 in.)

CONDITION
The porcelain figures are in very good condition. A minor chip to the applied flowers and visible repainting to the cape of b. Inspection under UV light shows repainting to the cape of b, along with variant fluorescence to the proper left side of his body. No sign of restoration to a.
