Chinese Silk Embroidery Xia Pei Vest Garment - A Late 19th - early 20th century Chinese silk woman's vest garment with brilliantly colored embroidery throughout. Pink silk lining and a insulation layer of soft animal wool. Numerous 6" L orange tassels hang from a turquoise-colored fishnet woven trim. The garment has a straight vertical front opening and two button closures. Two tie closures at each side. Measurements (taken from clothing laid flat): Shoulder (top arm opening) - 21", bottom of arm opening - 22 1/2", collar to hem - 36". Condition: Some signs of wear that are understandable for a garment of this age, some tears to the lining and at seams, trims has some thread losses & holes with insulating lining showing through, ; please examine photos.
