Hutt, Henry (American, 1875-1950), Girl with a Book, c.1920s, watercolor, pencil and gouache, signed lower left, 30 x 24 inches, in a thick wood frame 37 x 31 inches. Provenance: Harry Eichleay Art Co., Pittsburgh. A lovely example of Hutt's illustration art. His work was printed widely in the popular American press, in periodicals such as Collier's, Harper's, and The Century. In addition, his illustrations and cover art appeared in dozens of books.

In seemingly good condition, unexamined outside of the frame (the spots on the girl's face and arms appear to be freckles, rather than foxing or staining).
